It has been established that a group of individuals, acting in collusion, smuggled anabolic steroids and steroids across the state border of Kazakhstan into the USA and Europe, disguising them as vitamins. These substances contain potent components that negatively affect human health and life.
During operational-search activities, an address was identified where the organizers stored and packaged these drugs. A total of 206,000 vials and tablets were seized, along with syringes, a labeling machine, mailing envelopes, and self-adhesive labels for potent substances.
The suspects have been detained, and the court has imposed a measure of restraint in the form of house arrest. Currently, a pre-trial investigation is underway. In accordance with Article 201 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, further details of the case cannot be disclosed.
Earlier in the Zhetysu region, two individuals were convicted for creating a drug laboratory. Residents of Tekeli rented a house and equipped it for the production and distribution of synthetic drugs. Their activities were halted by the regional prosecutor's office. During the search, 21 kg of psychotropic substances and laboratory equipment were seized. The court found both guilty and sentenced each to 10 years in prison. The verdict has not yet taken effect.
