The Kids Go Free program has been noted for its role in enhancing domestic tourism in Kazakhstan and promoting family travel.
Excluding children's airfare, tours worth 415.6 million tenge were sold. The government reimbursed an amount of 114.5 million tenge, which is 28% of the total cost of the tours sold.
The most popular destination within the program is Lake Alakol. Over 700 children visited it using free tickets, marking a 20% increase compared to last year.
Second in popularity are the attractions in the vicinity of Almaty and the Almaty region. Visitor numbers here grew by 24%. More than 330 families purchased tours in this direction, totaling over 135 million tenge, with the reimbursed amount for children's airfare reaching 41.6 million tenge.
In third place is the Shchuchinsk-Borovoe resort area and the capital. People visit here not only in the summer but also during winter holidays.
