“My book about ‘Kantar-22’ has been presented.
The profession of a writer is quite a sorrowful one. He works on his book at night, day in and day out. Only the release of the book brings him joy and satisfaction. In fact, publishing a book for him is akin to giving birth to a child.
Today was a joyful day for me. I shared this joy with my colleagues and friends. The presentation of my new book ‘Kantar-22: The Failed Coup and the Awakening of a Nation’ attracted quite a crowd—over 50 people. These included writers, public figures, and friends. Among them were notable individuals such as Aliya Bopezhanova, Raushan Burkibaeva-Nukenova, Yuri Serebryanskiy, Umit Tajken, Maruana Khamzakyzy, Yerzhan Zhumagulov, Beknur Kisikov, Kanat Serikpaev, Dinmukhamed Tabyldy, Andrey Chebotarev, Kenzhe Tatylya, Alexander Krasner, Zhanna Kydyrali, Saule Isabaeva, Kulimkhan Khasenova, Bakyt Uderbekov, Tolegen Aubakirov, Daulet Chunkunov, and others, along with journalists from TV ‘Kazakhstan’, 24.kz, Almaty TV, and correspondents from various newspapers and websites.
I spoke about the motivations behind writing the book, the key ideas of the work, and how I gathered material for the writing process.
I had to answer many questions from the guests. In short, the presentation was anything but dull.
The meeting was moderated by the renowned literary critic, Professor Svetlana Ananyeva,” wrote Bigeldy Gabdullin.
