In the Akmolinsk region, a criminal case regarding incitement to suicide has been reopened.

Thanks to the firm stance of the Kokshetau city prosecutor's office, the investigation into the criminal case concerning the suicide of a young woman, which had previously been closed by the police, has been reopened, reports Bizmedia.kz.

The investigation was assigned to an experienced officer from the regional police department. Under the supervision and coordination of the city's prosecutor's office, the true circumstances of the tragedy were restored, and the cause of the suicide was established.

The investigation revealed that a resident of the village of Krasny Yar systematically subjected his common-law wife to physical and psychological abuse for seven years, including humiliation, beatings, and other violent actions. These acts led to her tragic death.

The actions of the suspect have been classified under articles 105, part 2, paragraph 1 (driving to suicide) and 110, part 2, paragraph 1 (systematic torture) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The penalty for part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code provides for punishment in the form of restriction of freedom or imprisonment for up to five years, while part 2 of article 110 prescribes imprisonment for a term of four to seven years.

On October 14, 2024, the case against the suspect was sent to the Kokshetau City Court.
