In Kazakhstan, there have been four major air disasters over the past 15 years, including the recent tragedy in Aktau, according to Bizmedia.kz.

Today's plane crash near Aktau marks the fourth such tragedy in Kazakhstan over the past 15 years. All of these incidents occurred during the winter months of December and January, with one of them happening exactly 12 years ago on this same date.

On December 25, 2012, an An-72 aircraft belonging to the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan crashed near Shymkent, claiming the lives of all 27 people on board.

On January 29, 2013, a SCAT Airlines plane operating a flight from Kokshetau crashed near Almaty Airport, resulting in the deaths of 21 individuals.

On December 27, 2019, a Fokker 100 aircraft from Bek Air, en route to Astana, crashed in Almaty; this tragedy took the lives of 13 people.

According to updated information from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan, 29 individuals have been hospitalized, including two children. Emergency rescue operations are ongoing at the site of the crash. Lists of the deceased and injured continue to be updated. A Republican headquarters has been established with the participation of representatives from government agencies. A total of 432 personnel and 79 units of equipment are involved in the operations.

The Minister of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan, Kamaladdin Heydarov, has arrived in Aktau.
