Yandex Qazaqstan has launched a new quick delivery service for groceries and ready-to-eat meals called Lavka.

Residents and visitors of Almaty can now order groceries, household items, and ready-to-eat meals with delivery in just 15 minutes—freshly brewed coffee is even available for order. The service currently offers over 3,000 items and 50 hot meal options. Notable features of the service include products from local producers and quality control through technology at every stage of the order process. This new service will be integrated into the Yandex Go app for the city.

Orders are delivered from two dark stores – small warehouses – covering the area of the streets of Sain, Abay, Al-Farabi, Zharokova, and the area of the streets of Rayymbek, Mukhanov, Abay, and the small river Almatinka. Each of them has dark kitchens – kitchens for preparing hot meals before delivery. Currently, the menu includes several types of hot dogs and burgers, pizza, and hot snacks. The store will also sell donuts, milkshakes, and hot coffee. By the end of 2025, the store plans to open up to 12 dark stores in the city.

Yandex Lavka is actively collaborating with local businesses: the share of local products in Almaty is about 30% and is expected to grow. The service offers items such as dairy products from “Amiran”, “Cheese Traditions”, and Fresh House, as well as ready-to-eat food from Damdala. The service assists suppliers in growing by providing a modern and rapidly growing sales channel.

“The development of the Lavka service in the city will create new job opportunities for warehouse workers, cooks, and other dark store employees, as well as provide income opportunities for couriers. At the launch of the service in the city, there will be vacancies for more than 120 people, and by the end of 2025, with the opening of new warehouses, around 500 more. Each dark store will have a relaxation area,” – comments the launch of the service Timur Shalekenov, head of Yandex Qazaqstan.

Couriers will deliver orders on foot, by bicycle, including electric bikes, or by car. While fulfilling orders, couriers are insured against accidents.

The store is ideal for welcoming unexpected guests or quickly replenishing the home refrigerator. It’s also great for when you want to diversify your diet and try something new. The service can be conveniently customized according to user preferences: you can view lists of past purchases and personalized recommendations.

New users of the store will receive a discount of 2,000 tenge on their first order of 5,000 tenge, and the first three orders will be delivered for free.
