Border Violation Enforcement: KNB Border Service Report for October.

In October of this year, the Border Service of the National Security Committee, in collaboration with other agencies, continued to safeguard Kazakhstan's state border. They recorded numerous violations and prevented illegal crossings, as reported by Bizmedia.kz.

A total of 4,640 violators of the law were apprehended in the border area, including:

  • 27 foreigners caught for crossing the border illegally;
  • 30 foreigners caught attempting to cross the border.

There were 1,435 cases of illegal movement across the state border, including:

  • 41 instances of drug transportation;
  • 91 cases of transporting weapons and ammunition, including firearms, gas weapons, cold weapons, and stun guns;
  • 23 instances of transporting religious literature, totaling 2,001 items;
  • 459 cases of illegal transportation of over 43,000 liters of fuel, valued at more than 9 million tenge;
  • 616 cases of transporting consumer goods, with a total value exceeding 3.4 billion tenge, including saiga horns and tobacco products;
  • 204 instances of illegal currency movement exceeding 1.8 billion tenge.

In the Caspian Sea, 57 cases of poaching were identified. A total of 31 vessels and 70 km of nets were confiscated. Additionally, 299 sturgeon weighing 1,765.1 kg, 904 fish of various species weighing 2,165 kg, and 13 seals were rescued, preventing damage amounting to approximately 671 million tenge.

All information has been forwarded to law enforcement and judicial authorities for holding violators accountable.

The state border is operating normally without restrictions, and each checkpoint is functioning as usual.
