This operation passed through Istanbul and Dubai, and from October 17 to 31, 2024, 41 people successfully returned from Beirut to Astana and Almaty, as noted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.
The evacuation helped protect the rights and interests of Kazakh citizens who found themselves in a combat zone.
It’s important to remember that in September, there were reports about Kazakhs being stranded in Beirut due to ongoing Israeli bombardments.
Starting October 1, Israel launched a ground operation against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon and continues to bomb the country from the air. As a result, over 2,800 people have died, including Shiite leaders, and more than a million people have been forced to leave their homes.
The main goal of the military campaign in Israel is to ensure that 60,000 residents from the north can return home. They were evacuated due to shelling carried out by Hezbollah in 2023, which supports Hamas.
