A delegation from the UNESCO World Heritage Centre is visiting Uzbekistan.

The meeting brought together leading specialists in the field of cultural heritage, including representatives from the Heritage Agency, the architectural firm Wilmotte & Associés, and other international experts. The discussions highlighted the importance of sharing experiences and implementing best global practices to ensure sustainable development and preservation of historical sites.

The event showcased key projects aimed at preserving the unique heritage of Samarkand and developing its historical center. Special attention was given to the enhancement concepts for iconic monuments such as the Shah-i-Zinda ensemble, the Ulugh Beg Observatory, and other historical sites of global cultural significance.
