A French film festival will take place in Tashkent.

At the end of November, audiences in Tashkent will have the opportunity to watch the finest French films on the big screen. The French Film Premieres Festival will showcase movies that have not previously been released in Uzbekistan, introducing the public to contemporary French cinema.

The program features the latest festival hits, animated films for family viewing, and classics of French cinema. A wide selection of genres will ensure interest for viewers of all ages. Admission is free. Festival program:

November 21 (Thursday) | 19:30

The festival opens with the screening of the biographical drama "Niki" (dir. Céline Sciamma), which tells the story of a young artist who emigrated to France from the USA during the McCarthy era.

November 22 (Friday) | 19:30

Special screening of the legendary crime drama "The Samurai" in 4K quality in memory of the great Alain Delon.

November 23 (Saturday) | first screening at 16:00, second screening at 18:00

The family animated film "New Year’s Animal Stories," where adorable creatures embark on a festive journey through various countries, as well as the romantic melodrama "Black Tea" (dir. Abderrahmane Sissako), which unfolds a love story between a tea shop owner and a young woman who arrives in Asia after a failed wedding.

November 24 (Sunday) | 18:00

The festival closes with the drama "The Story of Suleiman" (dir. Boris Lozhkin), which tells the complex journey of a migrant from Guyana seeking asylum in France.
