22,300 sums per day: Uzbekistan has updated its poverty line.

In Uzbekistan, the minimum consumer expenditure per person amounted to 669,000 sums per month, which establishes the poverty threshold. By 2025, this figure has risen from 648,000 sums (as of May 1, 2024) to 669,000 sums.

In global practice, minimum consumer expenditures are used for:

🔹 Identifying those in need of social support;
🔹 Evaluating the effectiveness of poverty alleviation programs;
🔹 Establishing minimum allowances and other forms of financial assistance for low-income families.
