The Committee of State Revenues (CSR) is conducting activities to enforce notifications of desk audits regarding the underreporting of income by Kazakhstani bloggers. The essence of the desk audit is to provide taxpayers with the opportunity to voluntarily declare their income and pay the calculated taxes, or, in case of disagreement with the identified violations, to present an explanation.
The CSR noted that during the verification activities, 12 bloggers voluntarily declared additional income amounting to 1.4 billion tenge, with taxes paid totaling 73.6 million tenge.
To date, notifications of desk audits regarding "income underreporting" have been sent to 854 bloggers, amounting to 71.9 billion tenge, with a deadline for compliance set at 30 working days.
The mentioned amounts do not represent unpaid taxes but are estimated incomes that have not been reflected in the bloggers' tax declarations. The tax amounts are calculated based on the submitted declarations according to the applicable rates established by tax legislation.
