B2B delivery in Kazakhstan surged by 44%: inDrive revealed the results for 2024.

Experts from the global transportation and urban services platform inDrive have analyzed over 5,000 comments from Kazakhstani users regarding courier delivery orders. The company has identified which product categories are the most popular for delivery and discovered some unusual items that Kazakhstani people send to one another.

According to the research findings, the top 5 most popular categories of packages include:

  • Clothing (18%): dresses and glasses are the most commonly delivered items through the service.
  • Food (14%): there is a high demand for chocolate-covered strawberries, sushi, and pies. Among the unusual orders are 40 kg of meat, 60 liters of shubat, and 7 kg of kurt.
  • Flowers (11%): roses remain the leaders, and once a bouquet of dried fruits was sent through the service; users also frequently send balloons as gifts.
  • Documents (7%): these include contracts, certificates, and other paperwork.
  • Electronics (6%): headphones and spare parts, with rare items including laboratory lenses and humidifiers.

Couriers note the increasing variety of delivered goods. Among the most unusual orders are medical leeches, large batches of 18 pillows, 50 liters of oil, 10 kg of dough for lagman, coffee bags, car jacks, and even dental prosthetics.

A significant portion of orders consists of children's products, medications, decorative items, and gifts. Almost half of deliveries (49%) are made by stores, suppliers, and other retail representatives.

In 2024, the total volume of B2B deliveries through the inDrive platform increased by 44% compared to the previous year. This growth was aided by the launch of the new inDrive.Couriers web platform, which allows up to 100 deliveries to be processed simultaneously. Through their personal account, users can manage orders, view history, and download analytical data from both computers and mobile devices.

To ensure the safety and integrity of shipments, the company recommends not forgetting to label the package, specifying special transport conditions for fragile goods, using recycled materials for packaging, photographing the shipment before sending, and checking the courier's rating.
