Bakirov on UzGasTrade not owning pipelines: "Come up with a different plausible excuse."

“Hududgazta'minot” reports that the decrease in pressure in the main gas pipelines was due to emergency work carried out by UzGasTrade. In light of this, and considering the priority of supplying natural gas to residential buildings and social facilities, restrictions were imposed on some wholesale consumers on February 3.

Currently, the emergency situation has been resolved, and gas supply is gradually being restored, the organization has stated.

“Do not take everything at face value – UzGasTrade is the operator for the sale and purchase of gas and does not have gas pipelines on its balance sheet. Moreover, the company is not involved in emergency response,” writes economist Otabek Bakirov.
