Behzod Khammraev has been appointed as the head of the Statistics Agency.

Behzod Khamraev has been appointed as the director of the Statistical Agency, with the corresponding decree signed by the head of state. Following this appointment, Khamraev has been relieved of his position as deputy chairman of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Prior to this appointment, Behzod Khamraev served as the director of the monetary policy department at the Central Bank. He graduated from Tashkent State Economic University and the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies in Japan. He holds a master's degree in econometrics and statistics.

He began his career at the Ministry of Economy of Uzbekistan. He has been working in the Central Bank system since 2008.
