However, in addition to the thickness of the ice, it is crucial to consider bringing safety equipment with you: a whistle, special rescue tags, a life jacket, a rope at least 12 meters long, a pole that should be no less than 2 meters in length, and a phone that must be kept in a waterproof case.
It is also very important to remember that you should not venture onto the ice if it is not yet strong enough, gather in large groups in one area, or approach dangerous cracks, holes, and openings.
Additionally, you should not drill more than 2 holes in one spot or start fires on the ice.
Individuals who violate these rules may be held administratively liable under Article 412 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
