A young man, who identifies himself as a motorcycle blogger, accelerated to 310 km/h on one of the highways in Tashkent. He was fined.

An administrative protocol was issued against him under part 3 of Article 128-3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (exceeding the established speed limit by more than 40 km/h results in a fine of 9 BRV, or 3.37 million sums).

“Ah, so this is who the new interchanges and roads were built for. I thought it was for us. But 300+ km/h is simply too much. Something tells me that the impact of the fine will be almost zero. I’m sure the traffic police understand this very well, but they can’t do anything about it. Although perhaps it’s more profitable for the government to fine those who cross the solid line at traffic lights than to deal with racers,” — writes blogger Kurbanoff.net.

The blogger mentions that statistically, motorcyclists are 29 times more likely to die in road accidents than car drivers.

“At such speeds, I’m sure the figure gets even worse,” — he concluded.
