Uzbekistan officials will now face fines for failing to appear in court.

Uzbekistan, Tashkent – According to AN Podrobno.uz, participation in court hearings will become mandatory for officials in Uzbekistan. This new regulation will apply when reviewing complaints against decisions made by government agencies or actions taken by their officials in administrative courts.
В Узбекистане чиновников будут наказывать штрафами за неявку в суд.

This is outlined in the decree of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, which came into effect on January 30.

A representative from the government agency or an official is required to be present in court to provide necessary clarifications regarding the complaint. Failure to appear at the hearing will result in a court fine.

Additionally, the document introduces the institution of preliminary hearings in administrative court proceedings. These hearings will be held to clarify the applicant's requirements and to take measures to rectify any deficiencies in the application.

In cases of offenses related to disrespect for the court and failure to comply with its rulings, the administrative court will have the authority to independently adjudicate the matter of the offense.
