The data indicates that inflation decreased from 9.8% in 2023 to 8.6% in 2024. Over the course of a year, the price of services increased by 13.3%, while non-food goods saw an increase of 8.3%, and food products rose by 5.5%.
There has also been a significant rise in service prices. The cost of cold water surged by 43.1%, mobile communication fees increased by 27%, wastewater services by 25.7%, heating by 22.3%, hot water by 19.2%, and electricity by 18.4%.
Additionally, ticket prices for railway transportation rose by 24.9%, and urban transport fares increased by 11.8%.
Technology also saw substantial price hikes last year: laptops are now 67.3% more expensive, wireless headphones have increased by 55.2%, flash drives by 54.9%, and tablets by 45.7%.
Liquefied gas and solid fuel prices have climbed by 10.1% and 10.4%, respectively.
In the food sector, potatoes became 37.7% more expensive, sweet peppers by 25.5%, olive oil by 23%, onions by 21.2%, tomatoes by 20.3%, and cucumbers by 18.8%.
However, it is worth noting that there was a price decrease for buckwheat by 21.4%, carrots by 8.7%, sugar by 3.2%, rice by 2.9%, and cabbage by 1.7%.
In the Zhetysu region, food prices increased by 7.9%, while in the Turkestan region, goods rose by 13.2%, and services in Astana by 16.9%.
According to information from the Bureau, the highest inflation rate last year was recorded in Astana at 10.7%, which is 2.1% higher than the national average, while the lowest rate was noted in the Almaty region at 6.6%.
