“By the decree of the Head of State, Darkhan Amangeldyuly Satybaldy has been appointed as the First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan and has been relieved of his previous position,” the official statement says.
Darkhan Satybaldy was born on March 26, 1974. He graduated from the Akmolinsk Agricultural Institute named after Seifullin and the Kazakh Humanitarian-Legal University, holding degrees in economics and management as well as law.
He began his career in 1991 in the Keles District. Over the years, he held various positions, including senior economist, chief accountant, auditor-controller, consultant, and expert in budget planning and control.
Since 2006, he has worked in leadership roles within government agencies, including the Akimat of Astana, the Judicial Administration Committee, the Ministry of Education and Science, and the National Security Committee.
From 2013 to 2015, he served as the Akim of Shymkent, and then as the First Deputy Akim of the South Kazakhstan region. In 2018, he became a member of the Senate of Parliament.
Since 2019, he has held the position of Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan, and in August 2022, he was appointed Akim of the Turkestan region.
