The Emergency Situations Department of Almaty region has closed several roads until spring.

Several roads in the Talgar and Enbekshikazakh districts of Almaty region have been closed due to the threat of avalanches, reports Bizmedia.kz.

The Emergency Department has urged residents and visitors of the city to exercise extreme caution in mountainous areas. Due to the risk of snow avalanches, the following sections of roads will be closed until March 31, 2025:

city of Esik – Lake Esik (from 7th to 15th km);
village of Turgen – Batan Observatory Asy (from 15th to 41st km);
city of Talgar – "Sputnik" camp (from 6th to 11th km).
