Starting March 1, a series of significant changes will take effect in Uzbekistan across various sectors, including ecology, social protection, entrepreneurship, digitalization, and food security. You can find detailed information about these changes in the customary review provided by Podrobno.uz.
С 1 марта в Узбекистане вводятся экостикеры, автоматизированные пенсионные выплаты и новые услуги по уходу за детьми.

Environmental Initiatives

The phased implementation of the "Eco Transport" system is set to begin. Originally, the launch was scheduled for June of last year but has since been postponed. To limit harmful emissions, eco-stickers will be issued for vehicles in Uzbekistan, and urban areas will be divided into eco-zones.

Additionally, the country will establish a Green Charitable Fund along with the platforms "Yashil Olam" and "Yashil Tulo", which will accept donations for the greening of the country.

Social Support

In seven regions, including Tashkent, pilot day care services for children with disabilities aged 3 to 18 will be launched. Entrepreneurs providing child day care services will be eligible for subsidies.

An automatic pension assignment system will also be implemented, meaning that Uzbekistan citizens will no longer need to visit the Pension Fund with documents. They will have the right to opt-out of automatic payments, with various reasons for refusal, such as choosing to retire later or disagreeing with the payment amount and seeking a review.

Tariff Increases

The cost of SMS notifications from the number 5800 regarding payments in the Uzcard system for subscribers of Beeline, Humans, Perfectum, Ucell, Mobiuz, and UzMobile will double to 168 sums.

Digitalization

All government websites will transition to a unified portal at gov.uz, with Uzinfocom managing their administration.

A pilot project for a unified registry of electronic evidence will be launched, enhancing the capabilities of law enforcement in recognizing and investigating digital crimes.

To detect illegal land seizures, monitor the condition of forests and agricultural lands, as well as the mineral resources and water levels in reservoirs, aerospace monitoring will be implemented and made publicly accessible.

Registering agricultural machinery and operating tractors without GPS trackers will be prohibited.

Food Security

When obtaining a sanitary-epidemiological conclusion, imported palm oil, dairy products, and other goods containing trans fats will be required to undergo mandatory testing in accredited laboratories. Inspections will be based on current technical regulations and standards.

New in the Field of State Secrets

At the end of March, a new law "On State Secrets" will come into effect, replacing the document from 1993. It outlines the responsibility for unjustified classification and the rights of organizations holding state secrets to purchase information from its owners.

Economy

A project for voluntary digital labeling of dietary supplements (BAA) will commence. This is an important step aimed at combating smuggling, counterfeit products, and protecting consumers.

Government properties up to 10,000 square meters that are not sold within six months will be leased to entrepreneurs for 10 years, with the option to purchase if rent is paid on time within four years.

Labor Protection Control

Graduates of express courses, tailored in duration and timing to meet employer requirements, will have the opportunity to practice their skills directly in the workplace. Upon completion of their studies, they will receive qualification passports.

Officials from the State Labor Inspectorate will be granted the authority to conduct desk audits on compliance with labor legislation, occupational safety, employer liability insurance, and employment of the population.
