Erkinjon Turdimov has been relieved of his position as the governor of Samarkand region.

The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has relieved Erkinjon Turdimov of his duties as the governor of Samarkand region due to his transition to another position.

Adiz Boboev, who previously served as the chairman of the Accounts Chamber, has been appointed as the acting governor of the region.

Earlier, various Telegram channels reported that Erkinjon Turdimov had left his post as the governor of Samarkand region due to health reasons.
