Aziz Shokhimov's tour with the Tekfen Orchestra in Uzbekistan.

At the invitation of the Cultural and Arts Development Fund in Uzbekistan, renowned conductor Aziz Shokhakimov, along with the Tekfen Philharmonic Orchestra, which he has led since 2017, performed.

The concert program features masterpieces of world classical music, allowing the audience to experience the emotional power and dramatic depth of the performed works:

- Ferit Tüzün's "Turkish Caprice," infused with Eastern rhythms and melodies;

- Sergei Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 3, performed by Denis Kozhukhin, a pianist renowned for his technical skill and emotional depth;

- Ludwig van Beethoven's Symphony No. 5, one of the most iconic masterpieces of global classical music.

These concerts will provide a unique opportunity for the Uzbek audience to hear classical music masterpieces performed by outstanding musicians, where the power of symphonic sound harmoniously blends with the orchestra's virtuosity.

The artistic director of the Tekfen Orchestra and the musical director of the Strasbourg Philharmonic Orchestra, Aziz Shohakimov continues to conquer stages worldwide, conducting leading orchestras and opera productions. He has been awarded the Salzburg Festival Prize and several other accolades, collaborating with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, Vienna Symphony, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, and other renowned ensembles. His operatic repertoire includes "The Queen of Spades," "Salome," and "Tosca." His creative energy and unique perspective on musical dramaturgy make each concert a vibrant and unforgettable event.

A laureate of the Queen Elizabeth Competition, known for his performances with leading orchestras worldwide, including the London Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. His concerts have taken place on the stages of Carnegie Hall, Concertgebouw, and Musikverein. In the upcoming concerts, Kozhukhin will perform the famous Rachmaninoff Third Piano Concerto, regarded as one of the most challenging and emotional pieces in the piano repertoire.

The Tekfen Philharmonic Orchestra was founded in 1992 as the Black Sea Chamber Orchestra and currently unites musicians from 23 countries. Under the direction of Aziz Shohakimov, who has led the orchestra since 2017, the ensemble showcases a unique artistic identity, merging classical repertoire with national instruments such as the Uzbek chang, Turkish ud, and Azerbaijani kamancha.
