The Chairman of the National Bank, Timur Suleimenov, when asked if the dollar is expected to rise to 600 tenge, expressed hope that the tenge will remain stable and that the dollar will not reach the 600 tenge mark.
He also mentioned that he strongly hopes that collective efforts from the economy, government, and various development institutions will enhance domestic production, reduce imports, and ensure a healthy and strong trade balance and payment balance, leading to an influx of export currency revenue and increasing the availability of dollars in the domestic market. The more dollars available in the market, the lower their value, and the higher the value of the tenge.
According to Timur Suleimenov, it is essential for the National Bank to coordinate its work with the government to achieve this.
