The mayor of Karshi unlawfully shut down a businessman’s shop, leading to his appearance in court.
Uzbekistan, Tashkent – According to AN Podrobno.uz, the mayor of Karshi, Normumin Kholboev, has been sentenced for unlawfully shutting down a business operated by an entrepreneur. The court found that his actions violated the law on "Guarantees of Freedom of Entrepreneurial Activity."

As a result, the hokim was fined 15 million sums (40 BRV). However, the fine amount was later reduced to 1.87 million sums.
Additionally, it was found that the store was located in the Karshi district, not in the city of Karshi itself, which raises questions about the hokim's actions.
It was previously reported that Kholebaev was also involved in the demolition of a businesswoman's building without a court decision.
