On December 27, 2024, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan issued Order No. 32, which approved the Rules for the State Registration and Accounting of Mopeds. In Chapter 2, paragraph 16 of the Rules, a list of documents required for moped registration is provided:
- Identity document, possibly in electronic form;
- Documents confirming the payment of the registration fee and state duties in accordance with the Tax Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Taxes and Other Mandatory Payments to the Budget";
- Application for state registration of the moped;
- Technical passport of the moped;
- If there is no identification number for the moped, it will be assigned upon the owner's request to the relevant authority before registration actions are completed;
- Inspection report of the moped during initial registration;
- Previous Certificate of Registration and State Number Plate (if available);
- Contract or power of attorney if a representative of the owner is applying.
