The share of overdue loans that have not been repaid for more than 90 days increased to 3.21% of the total loan volume in January, compared to 3.05% in 2024.
In monetary terms, the overdue debt rose by 48.5 billion tenge, reaching 1.142 trillion tenge, according to the National Bank.
Among banks, the most significant issues with loan repayments are observed at the Kazakh branch of the Russian VTB, where 11.61% of the total issued loans are unpaid.
In second place is Nurbank with 8.32%, followed by Eurasian Bank with 7.22%.
Interestingly, the Islamic bank ADCB reported no cases of overdue payments exceeding 90 days.
