Kazakhstan and Russia have discussed the removal of trade barriers.

Negotiations took place in the capital of Kazakhstan between the leaders of the agriculture ministries of both countries, as reported by Bizmedia.kz.

The main topic of discussion was the simplification of trade in agricultural products, transit challenges, and other significant issues.

As noted by the Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, Aidarbek Saparov, Russia and Kazakhstan remain key partners, and their cooperation in the agricultural sector plays a crucial role.

He emphasized that such meetings allow for a focus on addressing pressing issues and removing barriers to make collaboration between the countries even more effective.

Saparov also added that large volumes of agricultural goods, particularly grain crops, transit through the territories of both countries.

The Minister of Agriculture of Russia, Oksana Lut, pointed out that Russia and Kazakhstan have substantial potential for deepening cooperation, especially in the scientific and technical fields.

According to her, the main areas of focus could include plant breeding, animal genetics, and biotechnology.

Furthermore, she proposed strengthening collaboration in training personnel for the agricultural sector, including the development of joint educational projects and the implementation of dual degree programs.
