Kazakhstan is undergoing a large-scale modernization of its border vehicle checkpoints, according to Bizmedia.kz.
Автомобильные пункты пропуска в Казахстане undergo модернизацию.

As clarified by the press service of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, to date, the update has affected 9 border checkpoints located on the borders with China, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan.

The modernization aims to increase the throughput of these points by up to 6 times — from 170 to 960 vehicles per day, as well as to reduce the border crossing time to 30 minutes. The completion of the updates for all 9 points is scheduled for this year.

Additionally, an automated electronic queue system has been implemented at 10 automobile border checkpoints on the external borders of the Eurasian Economic Union. This system is accessible via the platform "Qoldau.kz" and the mobile application "CargoRuqsat".

The use of the electronic queue has helped to prevent traffic congestion along the republican roads and has ensured transparency in the transportation process.
