The National Bank has announced that an amount of $129.38 has been credited to the personal account of every minor citizen of the country.
The total amount of distributed funds equals $888.8 million. By the end of last year, the program included 6.9 million children.
The "National Fund - for Children" program was initiated by the President of Kazakhstan and launched in February of last year. At that time, children received $100.05 each.
The amount transferred is determined by the financial indicators of the National Fund – the higher its currency assets and investment income, the greater the allocations.
The program stipulates that 50% of the income generated from the National Fund's investments is annually directed to the personal accounts of minor citizens. These funds can be used to improve living conditions or to pay for the child's educational services.
In the two years since the program's inception, the amount in each child's account has already reached $232.94.
