The Ministry of Justice has proposed launching a pilot project that will enable the buying and selling of real estate through banking platforms with the involvement of notaries in a remote format. For now, this will only be available for properties in Astana and Almaty.
The project has specific conditions: participants must be citizens of Kazakhstan aged between 18 and 63 years. Transactions should pertain to secondary market housing, with a value not exceeding 70 million tenge, and rights to the property must have been registered electronically after 2015. If the property is owned by a couple, both must participate.
To prevent fraud, the system will verify the status of the property through databases. This new transaction format promises to simplify the process, but for now, it remains just a pilot project.
Discussions will continue until January 23, 2025, on the "Open NPA" portal.
