The Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan will now be responsible for issuing such permits.
The document will take effect on April 5 of this year.
As explained by the Committee for Road Transport and Transport Control, previously, to open a vehicle inspection center, it was sufficient to send a notification to the regional transport control inspections.
This did not require confirmation of the necessary material and technical base: equipment, premises, and qualified personnel.
However, this is no longer the case. The notification procedure has been replaced with a permitting one. This means that to establish vehicle inspection centers, legal entities and individual entrepreneurs will need to obtain a permit and confirm that they meet all the requirements: suitable premises, certified equipment, and qualified staff.
Thus, such measures are expected to help cleanse the market of low-quality operators who cannot provide adequate and high-quality vehicle inspections.
