Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan will exchange prisoners.
Uzbekistan, Tashkent – According to AN Podrobno.uz, the Jogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan has passed a bill in its third reading regarding the exchange of convicted citizens between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

According to Umutkan Konkubaeva, the Deputy Attorney General, there are currently 42 Kyrgyz nationals serving sentences in Uzbekistan, while 98 Uzbek nationals are imprisoned in Kyrgyzstan. All these individuals will continue to serve their sentences in their home countries.
The agreement between the two countries for the transfer of convicted individuals was signed in Tashkent in July of last year.
