According to the forecasts from Kazhydromet, March is expected to be warm with a significant amount of precipitation. The temperature is anticipated to be 2 degrees above the norm, and the amount of rainfall will exceed the usual levels across most of the country.
The press service of RGP "Kazhydromet" reports: "The weather in March is quite variable, with frosty days alternating with warmer ones. In the northern regions, true winter snowstorms may occur once again. Throughout March, frequent precipitation (rain, wet snow) is expected, predominantly in the form of rain in the southern part, along with increased winds, fog, and icy conditions."
In the first decade of March, air temperatures are expected to gradually rise across most of the republic, at night ranging from -12 to -20°C, in the center and east of the country from -15 to -26°C up to -5 to +1°C, and during the day from -3 to -11°C up to -3 to +5°C. In the south, nighttime temperatures will fluctuate from -2 to -10°C up to 0 to +8°C, and daytime temperatures from -2 to +8°C up to +10 to +15°C, reaching +15 to +20°C in the Turkestan region. By the end of the decade, a slight decrease in temperature is forecasted across Kazakhstan: in the northern half at night down to -3 to -8°C, during the day down to 0 to -5°C, and in the southern half at night down to -5 to +2°C, during the day up to +3 to +10°C.
In the second decade, fluctuations in air temperature are expected: in the northern half at night from -10 to -15°C up to -5 to +3°C, during the day from -2 to -13°C up to +2 to +10°C; in the southern half at night from -5 to +5°C up to +2 to +10°C, during the day from +3 to +8°C up to +10 to +20°C.
In the third decade of March, most of the country is expected to have nighttime temperatures ranging from -5 to +5°C up to +5 to +10°C, and daytime temperatures from +5 to +10°C up to +10 to +20°C; in the north and northwest of the country at night from -5 to -15°C down to 0 to -8°C, and during the day from 0 to -5°C up to +3 to +10°C.
