On January 1, Uzbekistan officially became a partner country of the BRICS association. According to officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this collaboration opens up new opportunities for the country's economic development.
“BRICS represents a vast market with significant potential, and strengthening ties with the association's members will contribute to the well-being of our people. We view this cooperative model as a foundation for establishing a more equitable global order while maintaining the central role of the UN,” the ministry stated.
Additionally, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs highlighted the importance of collaboration with Azerbaijan and Turkey within the framework of the Baku-Tashkent-Ankara trilateral platform. During the second meeting held in Ankara, the parties discussed enhancing economic interaction and strengthening relations on pressing regional and global issues.
“Currently, there is no discussion about expanding the format by involving other countries. However, the platform has already demonstrated its effectiveness in realizing the immense potential between our nations,” the ministry emphasized.
