As explained by the ministry, a decision has been made in collaboration with the National Bank and other banks to establish a new threshold: if the total amount of mobile transfers exceeds 1.02 million tenge (equivalent to 12 times the minimum wage) within three months, such transactions will be subject to mandatory monitoring.
This threshold will be similar to those used for registering individual entrepreneurs, where the annual income also needs to exceed 12 times the minimum wage.
It is reported that the order is already under review by the National Bank.
Let us remind you that since 2022, banks are required to monitor transactions that may indicate entrepreneurial activity. If an individual receives funds from 100 or more different sources within three months, the bank is obliged to report this information to the authorities for tax control.
