On March 1, the Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, held a meeting with a delegation led by the Minister of Trade of Afghanistan, Nooruddin Azizi, who visited the International Trade Center “Termez” in the Surkhandarya region.
During a constructive exchange of views, the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral Uzbek-Afghan trade and economic relations were discussed. Specific measures were outlined to increase mutual trade to $3 billion.
In addition to trade, further actions to expand mutually beneficial cooperation and industrial cooperation in agriculture, textiles, pharmaceuticals, food, and mining sectors were reviewed.
As part of the visit, B2B negotiations were organized with the participation of around 60 entrepreneurs from both sides, where representatives of the business community had the opportunity to discuss practical aspects of establishing new contacts, implementing new joint projects, and trade agreements.
