Минздрав Узбекистана опроверг слухи о переполненности больницы пациентов с метапневмовирусом.

Reports are circulating on social media about the overcrowding of the Republican Pediatric Center with children allegedly infected with a new virus. The Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan stated that the information regarding children infected with metapneumovirus, which has been spread on social media, is completely unfounded.

“The fact is that just before the New Year, preventive work was carried out in five departments of the Republican Specialized Scientific-Practical Medical Center for Pediatrics: neonatal care, pathology and resuscitation of newborns, hepatology, nephrology, and general pediatrics. All these departments resumed operations today, January 6, which naturally led to an increase in patient flow,” the ministry stated.

Furthermore, the center does not specialize in receiving and treating patients with the infectious diseases mentioned in the social media reports.
