A man who killed a 3-year-old child was sentenced to 24 years in prison.
The Mirzo-Ulugbek District Court of Tashkent found a man guilty of murdering a 3-year-old child and sentenced him to 24 years in prison, reports Aziz Abidov, spokesperson for the Supreme Court.
The man was convicted of committing a crime under Article 97, Part 2, Clauses “v” and “zh” (Intentional murder of a person who was obviously in a helpless state with particular cruelty).
He was also found guilty under Clauses “b,” “g,” “zh,” and “r” of Part 2 of Article 25-97 (Preparation for the intentional murder of a woman who was obviously in a state of pregnancy with particular cruelty), Part 2 of Article 219 (Resistance to a representative of authority or to a person fulfilling a civic duty), and Part 1 of Article 251 (Illegal manufacture, processing, acquisition, storage, transportation, or mailing for the purpose of sale, as well as illegal sale of potent or toxic substances that are not narcotic drugs).
On the night of July 9, under the influence of the drugs “Regapena” and “Tropicamid,” as well as mephedrone, he became jealous of his cohabitant regarding her son, born in 2021, and repeatedly stabbed the sleeping child in the face with a folding knife.
