It has been reported that the document contains warnings stating that citizens traveling to Russia should be aware of the penalties for illegal possession or distribution of this plant.
The plant itself is banned in Russia due to its psychotropic alkaloids, which can affect mental health.
It is worth noting that in 2024, the General Prosecutor's Office of Kazakhstan also issued a reminder to citizens about the ban on "harmala" in Russia.
