In Kazakhstan, over 1,000 vehicles have become stuck on the roads due to heavy snowfall and blizzards. On January 7, traffic was restricted on the Almaty — Tashkent — Termez highway. There are 1,050 vehicles caught in traffic jams, including 580 trucks. The police, with 45 crews, are assisting drivers, while 20 units of special equipment are clearing the roads.
In Kazakhstan, inspectors have transported 14 individuals from the Shakhan pass to the village of Koltogon, and patrols have freed more than 10 vehicles. Drivers are being accommodated at warming points.
