The national currency started 2025 with a decline, as the dollar's exchange rate increased by 1 tenge.

Today, January 5, 2025, the day’s trading on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) has concluded, establishing the official exchange rate of the dollar to the tenge for January 6, 2025, as reported by Bizmedia.kz.

As a result of the daily trading, the US dollar has increased by 1.01 tenge — the weighted average exchange rate is 526.11 tenge.
