On February 3rd, a meeting was held under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Shavkat Mirziyoyev, focused on issues related to strengthening the country's defense capabilities.
The report by the Minister of Defense was presented regarding the progress in executing assigned tasks and measures to enhance the combat readiness and capability of the troops, comprehensive training of units and subdivisions, as well as equipping them with modern weapons and military equipment, and improving the operations of the Defense Industry Agency of Uzbekistan.
The country's leadership emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to comprehensively strengthen the combat potential of the army and the moral-psychological state of personnel, modernizing weapons and military equipment, and developing defense industry enterprises.
There was a call for increased intensity in combat and operational training activities, as well as for the enhancement of the professional training system for officer corps and engineering-technical staff of military enterprises.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the head of state issued directives for the further development of the Armed Forces and the strengthening of the country's defense capabilities.
