This figure is more than double the average for regular days. Typically, around 500 couples get married in Kazakhstan each day.
According to the information from the State Corporation "Government for Citizens," the highest number of marriages were registered in Almaty, Astana, and the Kostanay region, where there was a significant increase in the number of newlyweds.
In contrast, people in the Ulytau, Kyzylorda, and Zhambyl regions took a more relaxed approach to the mirrored date, not feeling the need to schedule weddings specifically for that day.
In 2024, a total of 125,544 marriages were registered across the country.
July emerged as the most popular month for weddings, with 13,257 couples tying the knot during this time.
The least number of registrations occurred in March, May, and November, with around 8,000 in each of those months.
