In an interview with the newspaper "Ana tili," the president was asked if the rumors circulating on social media about his plans to lead the UN in 2026 and to hold early presidential elections in the country are true.
To this, the president responded that he had previously headed the UN office in Geneva for three years as the Deputy Secretary-General of the UN and the Secretary-General of the Conference on Disarmament. He gained immense valuable experience in understanding international processes. The president believes that this is sufficient.
The head of state emphasized that he has grand plans for the development of Kazakhstan for many years to come and is determined to implement them.
It is worth recalling that in September 2024, in his address to the people of Kazakhstan, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated, "Fair Kazakhstan: law and order, economic growth, public optimism."
