During today's meeting on the outcomes of the "Yashil Makon" project, Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed dissatisfaction with the drainage system in the capital. He pointed out that the recent rainfall revealed the true state of affairs in this area.
“It’s not enough to simply repair the drainage; we need to establish a water collection system and use it for irrigating trees,” said Mirziyoyev.
He also emphasized that district hokims in the capital should personally visit the sites and address issues related to drainage, landscaping, and urban improvement.
It is worth noting that after every heavy rain, Tashkent turns into Venice. In response to residents' complaints, the city authorities typically blame the flooding on residents who clutter the ditches and drains with garbage.
