The President of Uzbekistan discussed the current progress and future prospects of implementing reforms.
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, held a meeting on November 22 with the advisor on economic development, effective governance, and international cooperation, Soumya Chakrabarti.
The implementation of the "Uzbekistan – 2030" Strategy was reviewed within the framework of the State program for the current year, as well as the prospects for advancing reforms in the upcoming year.
Special attention was given to the training and professional development of public administration personnel.
The meeting discussed further steps in the process of Uzbekistan's accession to the World Trade Organization. The need for accelerated harmonization of national legislation with WTO rules and requirements was emphasized, along with the continuation of efforts to improve the country's positions in global rankings.
The President highlighted the importance of timely execution of all planned projects and the addition of new initiatives to the strategic agenda, especially considering the objectives announced for the Year of Environmental Protection and the "green" economy in our country.
