On January 3rd, Uzbekistan is expecting frost and fog, while mountainous regions will continue to face a high risk of avalanches. Most areas in the country will experience a dry day, with the exception of Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya, where rain may transition to snow.
In Tashkent, the day will remain precipitation-free, though fog is possible during the night and morning. Nighttime temperatures will drop to -1 to -3°C, while daytime temperatures will rise to 5-7°C. Similar weather conditions are anticipated in Karakalpakstan, Khorezm, Bukhara, Navoi, Samarkand, Jizzakh, and Syrdarya, where temperatures will range from -3 to -8°C at night and from 3 to 8°C during the day.
In the foothill and mountainous areas, especially in Tashkent and Namangan regions, precipitation will occur in the form of rain and snow. The risk of avalanches in these zones remains significant. Nighttime temperatures here may drop to -5 to -10°C, while daytime temperatures will range from -3°C to 2°C.
Meteorologists are warning about the risks associated with reduced visibility due to fog and advise caution on the roads. Residents of mountainous areas are also advised to avoid long trips and walks in hazardous locations.
