Today, March 1st, at 15:23, an explosion of a gas-air mixture occurred in an apartment on the 9th floor of a nine-story building located in the Karasu-4 area, causing a fire.
As reported by the Emergency Situations Department of Tashkent, the fire was completely extinguished by 16:07. During the emergency response, six people were rescued. Several individuals were injured as a result of the incident, including two children. One child sadly passed away on the way to the hospital, while the other is under medical supervision. All injured individuals have been handed over to the ambulance team.
Currently, efforts are underway at the scene to restore the livability of the residential building.
According to preliminary information, the incident was caused by a suicide attempt by one of the apartment residents. The individual intentionally turned on the gas stove, which led to an explosion of the gas-air mixture and a subsequent fire. He then jumped out of the 9th-floor window and died.
